And here's a bit about me

Kim Powers is a window treatment specialist and the founder of Stepping Stone Interiors with over 10 years of experience serving hundreds of homeowners in and around central Ohio.

"Why window treatments? Well, I’ve always been drawn to fabrics”, Kim reflects. “I love diving into the subtleties of the colors, patterns, textures, and shapes. Also, window treatments are typically the last component of a room design, and I’m fascinated how the right window treatment can truly complete that room."

Kim’s clients benefit from her seasoned and international design perspective, cultivated over her travels through over 30 countries and 47 US states, and she is an active member of the Ohio design community, participating in Parade of Homes House, Dublin Women’s Club Tour Home, and several MI model homes as well as the Design Center at Easton

She’s a member of America’s Window Covering Buying Network, which allows her to bring competitive value to her clients, and she keeps her finger on the pulse of what’s current in window treatments by regularly attending trade shows including the International Window Coverings Expo (the biggest trade show for window coverings experts).

“I am constantly researching innovative new products and building relationships with top merchants in order to provide the absolute very best quality in goods and services. My goal is to design a place my clients want to come home to – a place that makes them happy.”

Working with her customers to realize their vision is a fundamental part of her business. The collaborative effort and passion to provide the finest experience is the reason why much of Kim’s business comes from repeat customers and referrals.

Kim earned her interior design certificate from Ashworth College, and has added to her own design perspective with inspiration drawn from leading design experts, including Candice Olson, Jackie Von Toble, and Deb Barrett.

"Oh! And Thomas Jayne! I so admire the design work of Thomas Jayne."

Kim’s volunteer work includes helping the elderly through Syntero, sending reusable window coverings to those in need through Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore program, volunteering with the Dublin Food Pantry, Dress for Success, and Welcome Warehouse. She also serves on the board of trustees at the Linworth United Methodist Church.

Kim lives in Dublin, Ohio with her husband, Tod, who developed the professional installation procedures that have been an integral part of the success of Stepping Stone Interiors. Kim currently works on a breadth of window design projects ranging from suburban houses to urban lofts, from humble homes to grand estates.

Says Kim: "I would be happy to speak with you! Feel free to reach out to me."
